The instrument is of traditional folk construction with a skin-covered soundboard and multiple strings. Exact origin and age are unknown, although it appears to be a traditional Eastern European, Balkan or Middle Eastern style folk instrument. Condition is as found and suitable for restoration, display or collection. There is visible damage and wear including losses around the pegbox area, aged strings, surface wear and other signs of age and use. Please examine all photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
