The head joint is made on a cylindrical bore ( not the parabolic bore used in the Boehm-system headjoints). The headjoint is in excellent condition and has no cracks or splits. The Abell Simple-System headjoint is designed for Simple system Wooden flute bodies as played in Irish / Celtic Traditional music.
