The LCD display's easy to read needle indicates how close to pitch a note is, and the backlight turns green once the note is in tune. The FT-1 Pro has five tuning modes: chromatic, guitar, bass, violin and ukulele, it has an B0 - B7 tuning range (and so can handle 7 and 8 string guitars and 5 and 6 string basses), and is precise to +/- 1 cent, A4 is 440 Hz.
