Fine quality handmade English violin by David Lindsey circa 1890.labelled, David Lindsey, violin & violin bow maker, Gateshead. This violin is in excellent playing condition having no damage no cracks no woodworm. Fully blocked and lined, purfling is neatly inlaid the instrument having good edgework. The varnish is amber in colour and completely original. Beautifully flamed two piece back, ribs neck and scroll. The back length is 35.6 cms. Sold with case and two violin bows.
