This is an unused headstock inlay from the 1970s - left over when the Gibson Kalamazoo plant closed, and all the unused parts got sold on. This is inlaid holly overlay / veneer made for the Gibson Triumph bass, but I guess would work as an upgrade for an EB3 etc. Very rare part!
