Giovan paolo Maggini. I'm uncertain of the true age. It's in very nice condition, no repairs and none needed. This Maggini is a high-quality manufacture, top grade flamed maple and fine grain spruce top. The entire violin is very solid. The well seasoned wood provides a warm tone with a strong projection good sustain and resonance. The violin tuning box is solid and tunes well and remains in tune for a manageable length of time.
