With a universal design they're suitable for both Fender Stratocaster style tremolo bridges and Floyd Rose double locking style tremolo bridges. The extra strength springs are useful if you use particularly heavy string gauges, want to lock down your tremolo to the guitar top or instead of using five springs because you need to leave room in the tremolo cavity for a Tremol-No or other tremolo stoppers.
