The line includes birch, maple, and ash varieties, as well as mahogany kits known as Club Rock and Club Jazz. Other than shell material, the Gretsch Catalina Birch kit has more features in common with the Club Rock and Club Jazz kits than it does with the Catalina maple and ash kits.
