Traditional Bamboo Panpipes, 13 pipes, 2 rows. Cord for neck. It consists of two rows of pipes meaning you have to be slightly more energetic whilst playing than the Antara (single row pipes) A Musical wind instrument, consisting of bamboo tubes of varying lengths, fastened together. The player holds the instrument vertically and blows into the open end of the tube; each tube has its own pitch. It is thought to have originated in China and also features in Greek mythology. It survives in some parts of Europe, South East Asia and South America. The largest panpipes can be over a metre long. At high altitude in the Andean mountains, pan pipe musicians need very good lungs. This instrument in particular is one recognized as a sound of the Andes.
