This Standard Cut Legere makes quite a dark sound and as such has been appreciated by classical players and also players taking grades and using a more 'traditional' set-up. Legere also produce a Studio Cut which is more for Jazz players, and also a Signature series which are more expensive and made of a stiffer material but arguably more flexible because they are cut to a thinner profile.
