The combination of a cedar top and cherry back and sides gives the Seagull S6 a highly crisp midrange with a tight, responsive bottom end. Cedar produces a warm, mature sound right out of the box, avoiding the harshness that new maple or spruce guitars can sometimes exhibit. Because of its slightly wider nut width, the S6 provides ample room for intricate fingerpicking while still retaining the booming volume expected of a dreadnought. This particular item is in as new condition. I bought it new with the intention of becoming a proficient player. Unfortunately my ability didn't match my ambition, and so it has sat unused on the shelf for many years.
