A Skylark MV-005 is a full-size (4/4), Chinese-made student violin with an Aubert bridge. They were imported in large numbers during the 1980s and 1990s and are generally regarded as decent beginner instruments. This one is in an above-average cosmetic condition for a Skylark, with no cracks or open seams. It comes with a sturdy protective hard case and bow. This has a Winding (Grip) with distinctive black-and-white striped pattern which is an imitation whalebone winding made of plastic. A good student bow which would benefit from more horsehair as some has broken over the years.
