Name: Review:
I had no idea what to expect from this electric guitar, as a total newcomer to the world of music, but I was blown away by how well it performed straight out of the box - particularly considering its affordable price point.

As someone who's never played an instrument before, I approached the guitar with an open mind, expecting some kind of technical wizardry that would magically enhance my sound. But what I got instead was something truly beautiful and natural-sounding, which far exceeded my wildest expectations given the circumstances.

I was pleasantly surprised with my new Debut Stratocaster, weighing in at a relatively lightweight 7lbs which made it ideal for me as I'm getting older - my friend weighs in at 6.5lbs so there are some variations in weight. The ceramic pickups proved to be smooth sounding when paired with a quality low power valve amplifier, and they worked incredibly well with most clean/treble boosters. I think you should try one of these pedals before shelling out on replacement pickups to see how they perform. The current Debut models have a distinct 60s vintage aesthetic, with their dark laurel fretboards, no skunk stripe, and a 3-ply pick guard that's been faithful to the original design.

The neck shape felt a bit more robust than my friend's, but I've grown accustomed to it. The 'C' shape is unmistakable, especially when you hold up a Stratocaster. However, there are some variations in the range - neck size and shape can vary from model to model - so be prepared for different results.

The fretboard has been finished to perfection with no signs of fret sprout, and I'm pleased to report that the supplied strings were .009s and performed admirably at first. I was a bit skeptical about switching to Rotosound Pinks after reading mixed reviews online, but I decided to try them out for myself. To my surprise, they worked beautifully - the action was incredibly low with high saddles and there was barely any fret buzz or relief.

I've had to make some adjustments to the truss rod myself, as the neck felt too straight. However, the dual-action design makes it relatively easy to work with, as long as you're not trying to force the adjustment nuts back onto themselves. I'm pleased with how things turned out - this guitar is a great value for money.

The tremolo has been "decked" at the factory, making it easier to tune and keep in tune. However, I suspect that a slightly better nut, string tree, and saddle design might be needed to truly optimize its performance. Tuners have worked admirably well overall, but I think they'd benefit from some fine-tuning - perhaps replacing the screw on top of the button if they feel too tight or slack.

Overall, I'm thoroughly enjoying my new Debut Stratocaster - it's a great instrument for beginners and experienced players alike.

I was blown away by the incredible playability of this guitar, with its perfectly set neck and beautifully crafted fretboard that's ridiculously comfortable.

The only thing that could make it even better is the intonation, but let's just say I've learned a few tricks from this guitar already. It's also floated like a dream, allowing me to bend notes with ease.

I'm talking about the tremolo arm - it's been lovingly decked out from head to toe, making it harder than ever to get close enough to play chords smoothly. But hey, I've heard that adjusting the claw is a breeze and can be done in seconds.

One thing you won't want to do with this guitar is adjust its soundboard spring, though - removing the centre coil will make it float like crazy, but I'm not sure you'd want to. Still, it sounds absolutely amazing when you get it just right.
