I bought this guitar used in fantastic condition in about 2000. I had no idea how sought-after and respected these Japanese-built guitars were until I read about the 'Lawsuit Era Takamine' story, which you can look up if you have any interest. I've been playing it on and off throughout the decades and it plays and sounds amazing. It has reached the age where the wood is well settled. I had it as my second guitar, tuned down to e-flat, which I'd pick up and strum every once in a while, which my main guitar being modern and more set up for finger picking, which I do mainly now. This guitar could use a good new home and a bit of TLC to restore it to its original glory, but equally it can be played and loved as-is and the sound is warm and inviting you to play more.
