Heavy wear as shown. Needs restoration but is such a beautiful piece. Appears to be some sort of animal skin on the exterior. The tag states over 60 years- The Bulls Head trademark was first used by the Maulbetsch & Whittemore Company, which was established in 1886, putting this case somewhere in the late 20s early 30s, based on available information. I’m not an expert in this field but the assumption is that it would say “over 70 years” if it was a late 30s case. It’s assumed based on shape this is for a banjo but may be for another instrument. Measurements are shown for that reason. Please ensure your instrument fits this case before purchase. Sold as is- needs some work. Shipping is due to length of the item. Local pickup would be in Macedon NY.
