Set up with new Vision Solo synthetic core strings (not violino strings as the reviewer mistakenly said) this violin makes a good folk fiddle. It has a new fingerboard fitted and a new grade-A soundpost. The violin comes in the well worn but serviceable antique case pictured. The violin is played in the video by folk player Martin Gallimore who plays folk fiddle with The Irish Goodbyes band. The fiddle is a survivor folk instrument that has been played a great deal over the past 125+ years and is now revoiced and ready for more centuries to come.
