I have only tested it for power and it powers right on and the tubes light up and it produces a hum out of the speaker about 10 seconds after the tubes light up. I don't have a 3 pin device to connect to the back input and it does have a separate cable coming out in the area beside the AC cord that looks to be a 3/4" type cable that is missing the tip of it.
