WEM ER40 This classic WEM ER40 solid state head is now ready to roll. Capacitors replaced where necessary, operating voltage set and replaced the preamp BC108 transistors for low noise BC109's. The general tone of this amp still sounds true to the original despite the transistor upgrade. The handle has been replaced at some time in its life. A couple of the control knobs are not original and the front panel has signs of wear. It is over 50 years old CW prefix on the serial number dates this to around 1970. This model of head (not this actual one) have been/are used by Queens Of The Stone Age and Pink Floyd. This particular one still has the original Bulgin mains connectors.
