For sale, a humongous and very rare 6" Armstrong RML (rifled muzzle loading) projectile, from a 64pdr artillery piece. The projectile is completely empty/inert, with a removable Royal Laborotories/broad arrow marked transit plug. The piece is in great condition for it's age, sporting broad arrow/Woolwich production markings to it's base and side. The piece is date stamped to June 1879 on one of the studs (shunts), which ties in with it's MK5 designation. The piece has been carefully restored and repainted in it's original colours, with a red ring to denote it's 'Common' vareity. At 16" tall, and 6" across, this Victorian ship killer is a rare transitional piece, from the last days of sail.
